went back to sgp for a week. i just got back to melb on thursday. everything seems so empty. things passed so quickly when i was home. there was so much tears so much tissue paper and so many relatives that i hardly see.
i was happy i made it home in time i made it home to see my grandma she spoke her last words to me on thurs night after i reached sgp grandma didnt laugh or joke about anything she just said that i had a heart to go back and see her and she had this smile i was happy that grandma was smiling
friday grandma was gasping for air she was having alot of difficulty trying to get rid of the carbon dioxide her body was really warm cos the carbon dioxide was building up her nail beds were blue due to the lack of oxygen poor grandma was gasping for air grandma didnt have the energy to cough or talk she didnt even open her eyes after a while but her heart kept beating the heart that was supposed to give way many many years ago kept beating. grandma was a fighter she fought till the very end... and her heart kept beating till all her grandkids had finished school and was able to rush back to be by her side. it was amazing. when my siblings came back from school.. grandma opened her eyes and saw all of us by her side: her siblings, her children, her grandchildren she seemed happy to see all of us but at the same time really reallly sad
grandma passed away rather peacefully
i'll always remember grandma as a lady of faith as a woman of strength as a person of character and as someone who has made a huge impact on all our lives.
i'll remember the walks we had at 6am to the market i'll remember the times when we had our pratas i'll remember the walks to convenience stall to get our eskimo pies i'll remember the bamboo canes we hid from her (we hid them all over the house, but our fav spot was behind the tv) i;ll remember the 2.30pm chinese dramas we watched i'll remember the times we washed the old kitchen floor i'll remember all these times when she would give us our lollipops i'll remember and so will sondha and bryan...the times when grandma cooked luncheon meat, fried egg and rice...and when sondha n i couldnt get the kikoman soya sauce, but bryan had his on a spoon...and when we both wanted the extra piece of luncheon meat that bryan had...
grandma loved all of us she just showed her love differently when it came to each of us.
